About this policy
This policy describes how Himigo handles information when you use our website and app to connect with people, communities, events, jobs and businesses.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, you may provide account and contact details, profile information, your city, interests, posts, photos, messages, event responses, job information and business listings. We also receive information you send when requesting support.
Sign-in information
When you sign in through an identity provider, we receive the account identifiers and profile details made available through the sign-in permissions you grant. We use this information to authenticate you and associate your activity with your Himigo account.
Usage, device and location information
We use technical information about app and website activity, devices, sessions and errors to operate and improve Himigo. Your selected city helps us show relevant content. Features that request device permissions, such as location or photo access, depend on your device settings.
How information is used
We use information to provide accounts and community features, display relevant content and recommendations, deliver notifications, respond to support requests, process feature purchases, detect abuse and maintain service reliability.
Visibility and sharing
Information you publish in public profiles, posts, events, jobs or business listings may be visible to other people and search engines. Messages and community contributions are shared with their intended recipients or audiences. Service providers support functions such as hosting, authentication, analytics, error reporting, notifications and payments. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse or threats to safety.
Cookies and local storage
Himigo uses browser and device storage to maintain sessions and preferences. Analytics and diagnostic tools help us understand usage and troubleshoot problems. Browser controls can remove or restrict stored data, which may affect sign-in and other features.
Retention and security
Information is retained for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the service and addressing legal, security and dispute-related needs. We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can update available profile fields and notification preferences in the app and manage device permissions in your device settings. To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, contact support. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Removing an account may not remove copies of content previously saved or shared by others.
